Songs I Wrote In High School
Released December 2023

Long overdue due to lack of time and too much procrastination, Songs I Wrote In High School was released in late December 2023. A small work of only 3 songs written while I was in high school 40+ years ago. These songs were 3 of many that were re-discovered when I finally took the time to convert a bunch of old audio cassette tape recordings to digital format. This project was recorded, mixed, and mastered using Studio One Professional in my home office/studio.
You Are Precious was written about some girl I knew. The funny thing is I don’t remember who it was written about so I guess she was not that precious. It was re-discovered on a cassette tape recording that had been recorded of me singing and playing in my bedroom and has never been performed live.
Buy A Yearbook was re-discovered in a live cassette recording from a high school show performed during the school day which every student was forced to attend in an attempt to promote buying the current Yearbook. It was just a small part of the show that included skits, slide shows, and other performances all designed to promote Goddard High School Year Book.
Hello Christian was re-discovered in a live cassette recording of when the song was performed at my local church that I grew up in, Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church, in west Wichita Kansas. I remember it as being the first song I composed and performed without being the person who had written the lyrics. Stuart Greenlee, a fellow Goddard student wrote the lyrics of this song.
You should be able to get these songs anyplace you purchase or stream music.
